About The Position

As a Local Driver, you will be responsible for the delivery and retrieval of trailers within about a 100-mile radius of Orangeburg. This role involves no touch freight and drop-and-hook operations, allowing drivers to be home daily. The company, 48forty Solutions, is the largest pallet management services company in North America, providing end-to-end pallet solutions. The work environment may involve extreme conditions, and employees are required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past year
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older
• Must Possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle
• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician
• No record of being disqualified to drive
• Successful completion of a DOT road test
• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years – a higher score will be reviewed
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently

Nice To Haves

• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred
