About The Position
We are seeking a Local Class A CDL Truck Driver for a home daily lane. This position involves regional deliveries across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana, primarily for a dedicated dry van route for a major non-grocery retail chain. Drivers will average 1,900–2,000 miles per week and will be home most nights, with occasional 10-hour resets on the road. The role involves touch freight, including multi-stop retail deliveries (averaging 3-4 stops per load) using liftgate trailers and pallet jacks, with potential for hand unloads. Compensation includes a competitive base rate per mile, stop pay, unload pay, and bonuses.
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum 12 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
- Must reside within 50 miles of Chicago, IL
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A CDL truck for regional deliveries across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana.
- Complete multi-stop retail freight deliveries, averaging 3-4 stops per load.
- Perform touch freight duties, including utilizing liftgate trailers and pallet jacks for unloading.
- Handle occasional hand unloads, with additional pay provided.
- Adhere to a schedule that allows drivers to be home most nights, with occasional 10-hour resets on the road.
- Maintain a safe driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
