About The Position

REIC Rentals is hiring an experienced Local Class A CDL Driver in Seaside, O R to deliver designated equipment as assigned and ensuring the operator is familiar with delivered equipment. Schedule M-F (no overnights and rare weekends). As a Local Class A CDL Driver, you will deliver heavy equipment to customer sites in OR and WA state. You will be delivering designated equipment as assigned. Our CDL drivers oversee the safe loading/unloading of equipment, ensure the operator is familiar with delivered equipment and record/report the working condition of delivered and retrieved equipment, keep a clean truck with current daily and weekly inspections, and monitor and schedule annual and DOT inspections as required.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL Driver's License is required with manual transmission experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of driving experience REQUIRED.
  • Driving record violation-free for previous three years to include no record of any of the following violations: Driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, Leaving the scene of an accident, Committing a felony with a motor vehicle, Reckless driving, Excessive speed.
  • Ability to stand/sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to perform tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and reaching.
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds for short periods, often several times per day.

Responsibilities

  • Observing and reporting mechanical and safety failures.
  • Maintaining vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing.
  • Maintain all required certification, inspections, and medical compliance.
