About The Position

Midwest Refrigerated Services is a full-service 3PL company providing refrigerated logistics services for the food industry. Based in Milwaukee, WI, we operate the largest fresh 48 state LTL consolidation pool with more than 100+ trucks, and offer multiple sites with cooler, and air-conditioned storage, distribution and cross-docking services. We operate refrigerated and non-refrigerated warehouses for storage needs but also Value Added Services such as specialty packing, kitting and fulfillment needs. Requirements

  • Possess and maintain a valid Class “A” Commercial Driver License for at least 2 years.
  • Qualify meeting the requirements of a Federal Medical Card and the fit for duty standards.
  • Be able to operate all facets of tractor / trailer combination equipment in a satisfactory and safe manner.
  • Possess strong communication abilities to interface with customers and the public representing the company in a positive and professional manner.
  • Ability to safely climb in and out of the tractor and trailer.
  • Physical agility to bend, twist, and manipulate hands/wrists/arms to secure equipment.
  • Resilience to manage standard environmental factors, including weather extremes, traffic delays, and machinery vibrations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to slight finish-time adjustments based on customer needs.
  • Valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) held for at least 2 consecutive years.
  • Satisfactory, verifiable interstate commercial driving experience or formal training.
  • Active Federal Medical Card requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Safe Operation: Navigate your dedicated route while maintaining an excellent safety record.
  • Equipment Management: Safely hook/unhook tractor-trailer combinations, manage landing gear, and operate cargo doors.
  • Compliance & Paperwork: Complete standard daily vehicle inspection reports, trip logs, and delivery paperwork accurately.
  • Professionalism: Follow standard state, federal, and company DOT safety regulations.
