About The Position
BlueLinx is seeking professional CDL-A drivers to operate newer, well-maintained equipment on local routes while delivering building materials safely and accurately. Drivers earn $29.50 per hour with daily overtime after 8 hours worked. This role offers home-daily routes, no weekend hours, first-shift schedules, excellent benefits, and a team culture focused on safety, respect, and dependable service.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- At least 12 months of recent verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years.
- Safe driving record.
- Ability to properly secure loads.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Safely secure loads using straps only; no tarping required.
- Deliver freight accurately and on time while supporting customer service expectations.
- Handle customer product returns when required.
- Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork and customer documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers and report issues promptly.
- Maintain daily safety checklists and complete required DOT inspections.
- Maintain electronic logbooks and complete trip reports.
- Direct customer unloading when required.
