About The Position

E.A. Sween is hiring Local Box Truck Drivers in Denver, CO. This role involves driving a 26-ft straight truck to deliver fresh food products to local King Soopers grocery stores. It is an active delivery role with 12-16 local stops per route. Deliveries often involve smaller product drops moved into the store using shopping carts, with drivers using a liftgate for safe unloading and bringing product to the designated cooler area. The physical aspects of the role include helping unload inbound product and loading the truck before departure.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • At least 3 years of experience operating a 26-ft box truck or similar large commercial vehicle
  • Strong backing and maneuvering skills
  • MVR that meets company requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to pass required DOT physical, drug screen, lifting assessment, criminal background check, and MVR review
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 300 lbs. using material-handling equipment
  • Comfortable with physical loading and unloading
  • Comfortable working overnight, weekends, holidays, and in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Drive a 26-ft non-CDL straight truck
  • Deliver fresh food products to local King Soopers stores
  • Help unload inbound product before routes depart
  • Load and prepare your own truck for delivery
  • Make approximately 12–16 stops per route
  • Complete front-door deliveries using a liftgate
  • Move most store deliveries using shopping carts
  • Bring product into designated store cooler areas
  • Complete store check-in procedures when required
  • Collect empty crates for return
  • Use pallet jacks and two-wheel dollies when needed
  • Unload returned empty crates after the route
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Complete required delivery records and paperwork
  • Provide professional customer service at each location
