About The Position

Texas law firm has IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for ATTORNEYS ADMITTED TO PRACTICE IN TEXAS who seek to work part-time and semi-remotely, in the geographic area of their residence. The ideal candidate is a solo practitioner who is seeking additional work, but who does not want to: (1) incur additional expenses for advertising and marketing, (2) spend time attending “networking” and other client-development events, and (3) manage or perform back-office tasks such as client billing and collections. Applicants must be competent to serve as Lead Counsel in matters in Texas District, County, and Justice courts, in civil and administrative matters. Successful applicants will NOT be associate attorneys who are constrained by the structure and requirements of a traditional law firm. Except for tasks which require in-person appearances (e.g., court appearances, depositions, etc.), Attorneys may work from home or from any other suitable location. Attorneys who are invited to join the Firm must be experienced, responsible, and motivated “self-starters,” who are “client-service” oriented. Opportunities available in the following counties/geographic areas: Austin, Texas: Travis County. Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas Dallas County. Collin County. Denton County. Tarrant County. Houston, Texas: Harris County. San Antonio, Texas: Bexar County.

Requirements

Admitted to practice law in Texas.
Licensed by, and in good-standing with, the Texas State Bar, with no history of professional discipline.
Reside in one of the following Texas counties/geographic areas: Travis County (Austin), Dallas County, Collin County, Denton County, Tarrant County (Dallas-Fort Worth), Harris County (Houston), Bexar County (San Antonio).
Possess the knowledge and experience to work independently with minimal supervision.
Be responsible and professional.
Possess superior legal research and writing skills.
Possess oral advocacy and courtroom skills.
Willing and able to serve as lead counsel in litigation matters if needed.
