This luxury resort, situated on a 32-acre waterfront property, features 325 guest rooms, suites, and villas, 91 Private Resort Residences, 12 dining and lounge venues, a spa, multiple pools, and a promenade with retail and dining options. The resort employs over 600 team members dedicated to creating memorable experiences and providing stellar service. This specific opportunity is for a well-rounded and seasoned Lobby Lounge Bartender to join the Pier Sixty-Six Resort team. Reporting to the Outlet General Manager, the bartender will support and provide excellent service at a new restaurant within the iconic resort. This high-volume role requires a passion for craft cocktails and live entertainment, contributing to a dynamic environment offering luxury products and service.

  • Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort.
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Enthusiastic and has a knowledge of classic cocktails, wines, spirits, and beers.
  • Ability to work under variable temperature conditions.
  • Must be TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire.
  • Must have a current Food Handlers card.

  • Previous bartending experience in a professional setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing all alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for guests
  • Assessing bar customer needs and preferences and be able to make personalized recommendations.
  • Stock and maintain bar area to resort and health department standards.
  • Provide an exceptional and memorable guest experience.
  • Participate in ongoing training for professional development.
  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests sitting at the bar.
  • Set up bar and bar area according to Pier Sixty-Six five-star standards.
  • Cut fruit and prepare garnishes as set by resort standards for service.
  • Consistently keep the bar area organized and clean.
  • Know all specialty cocktail ingredients and garnishes.
  • Participate in updated training for the bar and menu items.
  • Be able to follow pouring procedures appropriately; all drink recipes must utilize a jigger for accurate measurement; no deviation from the recipes is allowed.
  • Notify Supervisors immediately of any product shortages or out-of-stock items.
  • Have a working knowledge of draft beer systems and how to properly change a keg.
  • Answer questions on menu selections and drinks to servers and guests.
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recooking orders, and product availability.
  • Record all transactions in the InfoGenesis system at time of order accurately.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
  • Complete closing duties, including restocking items to set par levels, turning off lights, etc.
  • Present physical and accurate check to guests and process payments
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to resort standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests` service needs.
  • Speak with others using a clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
  • Able to assist Supervisors with inventory.
  • Notify manager or supervisor in a timely manner with suspicious ID cards and/or intoxicated guests.
  • Proper cash handling of banks
  • Timely transfer of checks for guests being moved to a different section.
  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front-of-the-house employees
  • Practice effective listening: (seek to understand)
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property.
  • Subscribe to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Resort policy.
  • Be courteous to all guests and coworkers.
  • Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee Handbook
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes at their respective outlet.
  • Other additional task assigned by Supervisor.
