About The Position

The Lobby Bar Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations and guest experience of the hotel’s primary social hub. This role balances high-energy, "front-of-house" hospitality with critical "back-of-house" administrative duties. The Supervisor ensures strict adherence to "dry bar" health and safety protocols while managing the full lifecycle of the department—from procurement via corporate platforms to the detailed oversight of the Wednesday Social and departmental VP (Voids/Pours) logs.

Requirements

  • Legal Compliance: Must possess required State (ATC) Vendor Permit at the time of hire. No exceptions.
  • Experience: 2+ years of high-volume bartending; previous lead or supervisory experience in a hotel environment preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in hotel POS systems and corporate purchasing/inventory platforms (experience with Workday is a plus).
  • Operational Knowledge: Expert understanding of health department regulations regarding non-sink/dry bar service environments.
  • Availability: Must be able to work 5 evenings per week, including consistent coverage for the Wednesday Social.

Responsibilities

  • Bar Operations & Service (4 Shifts per Week)
  • Lead Bartender: Serve as the primary evening bartender, providing professional service in a high-visibility lobby environment.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a 100% "No-Wash" compliant workstation. Strictly enforce "Pick-to-Glass" garnish protocols using only pre-cut jarred garnishes and disposable service ware to meet non-traditional health code standards.
  • Atmosphere Management: Act as the "face of the lobby," proactively engaging with guests to create a welcoming and premium hotel culture.
  • Wednesday Social Leadership
  • Event Ownership: Take full responsibility for the execution of the signature Wednesday Social , including setup, service flow, and guest engagement.
  • Quality Control: Collect guest feedback during events to continuously improve refreshment offerings and ensure brand standards are consistently met.
  • Administrative & Financial Oversight (1 Shift per Week)
  • Purchasing: Manage all beverage and supply procurement using corporate platforms such as Avendra , iBuyEfficient , or other approved vendor portals.
  • VP Management: Directly oversee the department VP (Voids/Pours) . Audit weekly POS reports to ensure inventory matches sales and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Scheduling: Create and manage the bartender schedule to ensure 100% coverage for peak lobby hours and special events.
  • Permit Audit & Maintenance: Conduct regular audits of all bar staff to ensure 100% compliance with State (ATC) Vendor Permits . Maintain a centralized, up-to-date tracking log of expiration dates and ensure all renewals are completed prior to lapse.
