LOBBY ATTENDANT
About The Position
Vintage Hotels & Niagara’s Finest Hotels is currently seeking a Lobby Attendant to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity that can provide flexibility, valuable work experience, and a chance to work with a tenured team. Position Summary: Ensures all common areas, hallways, meeting areas as dining facilities are cleaned and maintained in a manner consistent with a superior quality hotel.
Requirements
- Minimum six (6) months housekeeping experience
- Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively in both formal and informal settings
- Good personal hygiene
- Able to pay particular attention to small details
- Willing to be a team player
- Confidence in selling and up-selling products and services
- Positive sales-oriented personality
- Desire to meet goals
- Ethical and honest
- Able to lift/carry buckets, mops, brooms, and small furniture
- Able to push/pull mops, carts, furniture, vacuum, mops, brooms
- Able to reach from waist to shoulder frequently: Able to reach above shoulder and below the waist occasionally
Nice To Haves
- Previous up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an asset
- WHMIS training is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity
- Vacuums, mops and dusts all common areas, hallways, meeting areas and Lounge
- Cleans all Team Member and public washrooms and responsible for continually checking and cleaning these areas throughout the shift
- Ensures all soaps and paper products are replenished in a timely manner
- Ensures all light bulbs are replaced
- Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and services
- Suggesting additional products and services meeting our guests’ specific preferences
- Assessing Guests’ individual needs to meet standards for additional products and services
- Actively seeking ways to meet Guests’ product or service needs
- All other duties as assigned
