About The Position

Sandy Cove Ministries is seeking a part-time Lobby Attendant to join their team. The mission of Sandy Cove Ministries is to help people connect with God and each other in order to be transformed into the image of Christ, through His Word, His creation and community. This role provides cleaning for the public bathrooms and general hallways and lobby areas at Sandy Cove by cleaning toilets, mirrors, sinks, mopping, sweeping & vacuuming floors, emptying trash, restocking, cleaning windows and dusting as well as assisting with washing, drying and folding laundry as well as cleaning guest rooms as needed. The goal is to maintain clean sanitary bathrooms and lobby areas to create a welcoming environment for guests and staff, while meeting guest needs with a pleasant attitude in order to help them better connect with God and each other.

Requirements

A personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction
A friendly and guest focused attitude
Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment
Ability to perform manual tasks requiring physical strength and endurance
Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment and to use cleaning supplies
Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions
Good time management skills and self-motivated
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with supervisors and fellow workers
Willingness to meet the needs of the guests during their stay

Nice To Haves

Experience working in Christian camps or conference centers
Prior hotel housekeeping experience

Responsibilities

Maintain order and cleanliness of common areas by vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, dusting surfaces, arranging furniture, keeping windows clean and removing rubbish as needed
Maintain order and sanitation of public restrooms by mopping floors, cleaning counters, sanitizing toilets and stalls, cleaning mirrors, stocking supplies, and removing rubbish as needed
Other supportive housekeeping duties as assigned
Assisting with washing, drying and folding laundry
Cleaning guest rooms as needed
