About The Position

The Loan Specialist supports Commercial Loan Officers, working together in a team environment committed to superior customer service and focused on providing loans and financial services of high quality and value to customers. Position is based in Alachua, FL. Must be willing to travel to other office locations as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years loan processing experience or combined equivalent with an Associate’s degree and/ or applicable certification.
  • Strong analytical and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service in all interactions with customers.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to the Commercial lending team in the management of the loan portfolio including servicing, credit underwriting, preparation and submission of loan packages to the Credit and Closing Departments.
  • Assists loan officers in the completion and updating of loan service plan activities in CRM.
  • Develops and organizes loan applicant information for review and analysis by loan officers and inputs pertinent loan data into Agvue.
  • Ensures loan actions reflect the most up to date information and decisions are entered into Agvue in a timely manner.
  • Prepares documents and correspondence for Association reports including delinquency lists.
  • Monitors loan portfolio maturity reports to ensure timely processing of all renewals.
  • Ensures the timely and accurate accounting of all loans and financial services for customers of the Association, including origination entries, manual billings, various types of disbursements of funds through wire transfers, checks, etc.
  • Reviews and verifies data for the post closer as needed and ensures discrepancies are timely corrected.
  • Ensures that confidential information is disclosed only to appropriate parties and follow association rules for protection of all customer information.
  • Reviews closed loan packages for accuracy, witnesses and notarizes as applicable. Records and transmits security documents including all new notes and other original documents to the collateral custodian at Agfirst FCB or the Association as applicable.
  • Inputs and verifies all Borrower Entity information for all loan and servicing actions. Verifies and updates risk Ratings, Loss Given Defaults and Guarantee Codes.
  • Initiates the workflow of the liquidation suspense document to the Closing department for determination and preparation of liquidation documents.
  • Ensures scanning of all recorded satisfactions and termination of security documents to the appropriate electronic filing system.
  • Completes and scans loan files to the appropriate electronic filing system and notifies Loan Servicing.
  • Ensure all borrower financial information such as tax returns, financial statements, production records, etc. are scanned promptly and audited for completeness and accuracy.
