About The Position

The Loan Servicing Specialist III is responsible for high level department contributions for advanced loan servicing and accurately and efficiently boarding new loans to the bank’s core system under very minimal supervision. This role performs complex loan account maintenance, processes loan advances and payments, manages participation remittances and settlements, and handles non-accrual and charge-off transactions. Assists the Loan Operations Quality Control Department with resolving daily account reconciliation and resolving unposted loan transactions in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Finance related field required
• Four (4) years of loan documentation and loan system experience can be used in lieu of degree
• Six (6) + years of loan operations experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of FIS IBS Loan processing preferred.
• Strong understanding of loan application policies and procedures, as well as documentation required by federal and state regulations.
• Strong working knowledge of related departments and their connection to loan operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong computer, keyboard, and software application (Microsoft Word and Excel) skills.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced knowledge of FIS IBS Loan processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Board loans to the bank’s core system, including complex loans with syndications, participations, SWAPs and other specialized or non-standard features.
• Process loan renewals on the bank’s core system, including complex loans with syndications, participations, SWAPs and other specialized or non-standard features.
• Process loan modifications on the bank’s core system.
• Input tickler/exception tracking information as necessary.
• Process loan advances and loan payments on the bank's core system.
• Process requested complex loan maintenance on the bank's core system.
• Process loan account risk rating updates, accrual adjustments, and charge off entries.
• Review and reconcile daily system generated reports and identify potential errors.
• Review, research, and post daily unposted loan transactions.
• Assist with training and mentoring of other department staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve servicing issues.
• Support with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.
