About The Position

As a Loan Servicing Specialist I – Consumer, you'll handle day-to-day servicing for our consumer loan portfolio, including auto, unsecured loans, credit cards, and leases. You'll process payments and payoffs, keep account records accurate, support lease billing and fees, and help with GL reconciliation and GAP chargebacks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of banking, loan servicing, financial services, or related experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of residential mortgage, home equity, and loan servicing processes and terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing transactions and maintaining records.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with members and internal teams.
  • Positive, collaborative approach with a willingness to learn and support team goals.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and maintain an understanding of applicable mortgage and loan servicing regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Encompass or other loan servicing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process routine servicing transactions across consumer loan products, including auto (direct/indirect), unsecured loans, credit cards, and leases.
  • Complete payment processing, payoff transactions, and basic account maintenance activities.
  • Assist with lease servicing functions, including billing support and processing of related fees (e.g., taxes, violations).
  • Perform system updates and maintenance within loan servicing platforms to ensure accurate records.
  • Assist with general ledger reconciliation activities and escalate discrepancies as needed.
  • Respond to member and internal inquiries via phone, email, and work queues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support assigned operational queues, including GAP chargebacks and routine servicing requests.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation for all servicing activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve routine issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform quality checks on assigned work to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
