This is community banking, evolved. Job Summary Oversees the efficient and compliant operation of loan servicing processes, driving system improvements, process updates, and team development. Provides leadership by managing complex scenarios, conducting employee performance reviews, and ensuring all internal accounts and audits are reconciled accurately. Ensures documentation and procedures are consistently followed, while preparing reports and implementing changes in line with regulatory or product requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7-10 years’ experience managing individuals in a professional office environment within a lending-related function.
  • Strong knowledge of loan servicing operations, including loan processing, payment processing, escrow administration, collections, and investor reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing loan servicing, including the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Gramm-Leach-Billey Act (GLBA).
  • Strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and other office applications.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

  • Strong ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities

  • Meets with staff on a monthly basis and conducts quarterly reviews to provide timely and consistent feedback; develops and manages employees.
  • Leads project teams implementing new systems or processes.
  • Ensures all processes are documented in written procedures to support consistent and accurate completion of duties.
  • Updates system settings and bank control records in accordance with regulatory or product changes.
  • Serves as a resource for team to troubleshoot or resolve complex scenarios to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Prepares monthly account reconciliations to ensure that all internal accounts are in balance.
  • Manages audit requests including collection of documents and responding to inquiries.
  • Creates and maintains reports to monitor performance and volume, identify necessary action items, and supports ad-hoc reporting and data clean-up as needed.
  • Actively stays current on all Bank products, services, procedures, policies, and applicable regulatory and compliance requirements by regularly attending team meetings, completing mandatory training on schedule, and applying knowledge to ensure accuracy and compliance in daily operations.
  • Ensures adherence to federal and state laws, regulations, and bank policies by preventing violations, minimizing risks, and safeguarding the Bank’s interests.
  • Verifies transactions and account balances, ensuring compliance with bank policies and state and federal regulations and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), as applicable to the role.
  • Performs additional duties, as directed by management.
  • Comply with all related consumer regulatory requirements.
  • Travel to Fitchburg Operations Center at least monthly to support direct reports working at that location.
