Position Summary: The Loan Servicing Intern will gain experience in servicing systems, state and title requirements, and document governance best practices. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Currently attending a college or university and have taken intermediate level courses typically in the third year of study.
  • Accountable for timely completion of assigned projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficienct in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Accountable for producing accurate, high-quality work and managing all related documentation and follow-up actions with adherence to Everwise’s service expectations.
  • Accountable for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive or proprietary information.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate lien perfection by reviewing loan documentation, reviewing title management reports, and confirming that all collateral requirements comply with state and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and remediate title exceptions promptly to maintain the integrity of loan records and minimize risk exposure for the credit union.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and audit trails for all title-related activites to support compliance and governance best practices.
  • Monitor and update servicing systems to reflect corrected title statuses and ensure data accuracy across all platforms.
  • Process and apply mortgage payments accurately and timely to borrower accounts ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulator requirements.
  • Prepare and process mortgage satisfaction documents accurately and in compliance with state and regulatory requires to release liens upon loan payoff.
  • Review and ensure proper indexing and filing of documents within our document imaging system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies with loan servicing documents.
  • Supports and completes additional projects as needed
