About The Position

This position is on-site at our Watsonville location. Under general supervision, the Loan Processor will provide support to the Lending, Credit Admin and Note Departments. This position will perform a variety of duties that may include: Coordination of workflow within the Lending Department to obtain required documentation and to facilitate complete loan packages for Underwriting. The Loan Processor is responsible for reviewing and identifying all missing documentation, and assuring that the information is presented in a complete and accurate manner. Communicate with Relationship Mangers, Business Development Officers, Credit Administration and the Note Department to insure timely processing for underwriting and document preparation. Setup and maintenance of digital loan files on our document management system, (Director), to include uploading and maintaining financials received. Order, review and understand appraisals, entity documents, trusts agreements, purchase contracts and UCC filings. Ability to review and understand Preliminary Title reports, address title exceptions and prepare escrow instructions. Engage third party vendors for credit reports, appraisals, environmental due diligence, and preliminary title reports. Coordinate Loan closings with the Note Department, Relationship Managers and Title Company. Knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations pertaining to TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure Rule (TRID), HMDA, Reg B, Reg Z, Adverse Action and Flood compliance. Maintain regulatory compliance knowledge by utilizing (BVS) online training, attend necessary outside job-related compliance training seminars, and reference written bank compliance procedures. Maintain and update pipeline reports. Monitor tickler system to ensure timely receipt of financial loan covenants. Perform other duties as may be required by the Lending Department. General clerical duties including filing, copying, data entry and scanning.

Requirements

  • 1 - 4 years of experience working in loan processing, loan documentation or loan administration within a financial institution
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of commercial, construction, real estate and consumer loan products.
  • Basic understanding of Title & Escrow.
  • Basic understanding of Laser Pro Document preparation system.
  • Experience working with lending service providers.
  • Understanding of Lending documentation
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and multi-task
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions
  • Ability to prepare and edit documents using Word and Excel

Responsibilities
