About The Position

To assist members, non-members and indirect dealerships with loan requests applied both directly and indirectly, while providing clerical and administrative support needed to process and fund consumer loans.

Requirements

2 years of experience in loan processing, banking, or financial services.
Experience with loan interviews and have a thorough understanding of the Loan Policy and Guidelines
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and relevant systems
Must be bondable.
Ability to research and cross reference similar information to identify trends and proactively prevent loss
Ability to adhere to internal policies as well as external policies and regulations set forth by the NCUA
Candidate must be knowledgeable of Credit Unions’ product and services and demonstrate the ability to cross-sell and build deeper relationships with our membership
Must be highly detail oriented and accurate
Working knowledge of M365 Software
Must be able to work independently and collaborate with loan officers, MSR’s and dealerships to obtain necessary information
Ability to apply logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

Follows up with the Loan Officer to determine status.
Processes approved loans and sets up date and time to close the loan and make disbursements.
Obtain, verify and complete paperwork related to loans which may include title application, insurance documents, check stubs, etc. with an emphasis on accuracy, legitimacy and completeness of required documentation.
Responsible for the timely processing of loan applications.
Facilitates the loan process from application to closing by working directly with MSR, Loan team, dealerships and the members.
Ensures that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates, and other relevant data.
Process all post-disbursal modifications to loans in servicing, including adjustments to rate, amount and term, as well as insurance, warranty and GAP modifications.
Maintains and communicates regularly with dealerships and members to support loan process with an emphasis on completing the loan.
Confirms all processed loan documents are complete and accurate according to policies and requirements set out in regulation; makes certain each file is documented in accordance with written procedure.
Present a professional and positive image of the Credit Union while identifying member needs and providing financial solutions with our products and services.
Supports inbound dealership calls and messages via loan systems, contacts dealerships’ weekly/daily to follow up on deals and updates loan data in the credit union’s lending system.
Respond to telephone and written inquiries regarding loan questions. Processes follow up letters and loan packets. Prepares and mails or emails correspondence to new and existing members.
Identifies and acts to improve the group’s operating methods and procedures.
Files loan documents with the appropriate agencies.
Understand and be able to read and interpret credit bureaus.
Expected to maintain monthly loan processing standards.
Inputs and updates loan data in the credit union’s lending systems and assembles follow-up documentation for all loan types.
Knowledge of different loan types, loan products, and the requirements that apply.
Enforces compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) requirements, and should request legal interpretation as necessary to identify compliance concerns.
Adhere to applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and internal compliance with standard polices relevant to their roles and responsibilities.
