What is the Mortgage Banking Training Program? Our Mortgage Banking Training full-time, paid training program is a unique and specialized training and development program to prepare candidates for a rewarding career in the mortgage industry. The training will provide you with a greater understanding of the overall residential mortgage loan process, which will lead to a full-time, Loan Processor position. Our mortgage loan processors collaborate with customers, underwriting, and our sales team to make the dream of homeownership possible by gathering and analyzing documents to make a complete loan file. This includes reviewing paystubs, bank statements, credit reports, and a variety of other documents based on each customer's unique situation. Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work with multiple computer systems
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role, including professional/military experience, internships, or school leadership positions.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills highly preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and good attention to detail
  • Dedicated workspace in a distraction-free environment and reliable internet connection to allow for remote work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual in Spanish highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process and prepare purchase mortgage loans (FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA)
  • Verifies accuracy and adherence to investor guidelines of all documents required for a complete submission to Underwriting.
  • Provides consistent communication on loan status to customers to ensure a smooth mortgage transaction.
  • Ability to maintain quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to multi-task using multiple computer screens and software programs.
  • Successfully use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to process loans.
  • Cultivate relationships with peers as a peer mentor
  • Performs other duties as assigned
