About The Position

Rhinebeck Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Loan Portfolio Administrator to support up to three Commercial Lenders and manage their loan portfolios. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth administration, documentation, and closing of both consumer and commercial loans. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains strong organizational skills, and is committed to delivering excellent internal and external customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) OR Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in commercial lending support, loan servicing, portfolio management, or loan documentation
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Review loan packages to ensure all required documentation is complete and ready for closing
  • Prepare accurate loan documents in accordance with approved terms for consumer and commercial loans
  • Coordinate loan closings with legal counsel, third-party vendors, and internal bank staff
  • Calculate closing figures, ensure timely funding, and submit complete loan packages for boarding
  • Provide regular status updates and support a seamless loan closing process
  • Conduct post-closing reviews for loans processed by third parties and internal staff
  • Assist with gathering financial documents, insurance updates, and outstanding closing items
  • Monitor commercial borrowing base lines and perform monthly compliance calculations
  • Process construction loan advances
  • Maintain strong communication with customers, accountants, and stakeholders
  • Track credit applications, manage documentation, and follow up on missing items
  • Support annual credit reviews, monitor portfolio risk, and update credit files
  • Generate activity and status reports as needed
  • Stay current on bank policies, products, and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to a collaborative and team-oriented work environment
