The Loan Originator will be responsible for originating high-quality loans that meet FCMC guidelines. This role involves developing business relationships with local Real Estate agents and builders, managing territories for First National Bank Texas and First Convenience banks, and training employees on mortgage loan basics. The position also requires developing contacts with Bank partner store management teams, taking customer loan applications (including pulling credit), and conducting presentations such as First Time Home Buyer Seminars, realtor sales meetings, and product training. The Loan Originator will communicate with borrowers and real estate agents throughout the loan process, and issue and explain pre-qualification letters, disclosures, and all other initial compliance documentation for borrowers, including Good Faith Estimates, Truth-In-Lending, and APR. Depending on location and business needs, this position may also serve as a general office manager, handling responsibilities like general correspondence, supply maintenance, and clerical staff schedules. Additionally, it may act as a liaison between position locations and corporate management regarding office incidents, business needs, and client concerns. Travel may be required as needed to meet business needs. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are expected, along with performing other duties as assigned. The position level will be dependent upon internal and external experience.
