About The Position

This full-time position involves a comprehensive understanding of loan structures and processes, including documentation, closing, funding, and boarding. The role requires preparing and reviewing loan documentation, ensuring compliance with loan conditions and requirements. Responsibilities include processing and reviewing loan boarding, uploading and verifying final signed loan documentation in Global Wave (GW), and following up on collateral and original signed loan documents. The officer will also review daily non-post accounts/GL balances, troubleshoot system and processing issues, and resolve escalated customer service issues. A key aspect of the role is understanding the loan accounting system to accurately perform boarding of various loan changes and maintain system accuracy. The position involves processing and approving loan/general ledger tickets using online posting system modules (TMS and/or Block-Infra) for funding and fee-related transactions. Daily tasks include calling back new loans, renewals, extensions, modifications, clearing non-post accounts/GL balances, and researching outages in general ledgers and loans. The role also entails self-processing and reviewing loan documentation, boarding, and closing, as well as assigning, approving, and reviewing these processes. Additionally, the Loan Origin Officer will assist senior officers and loan operations staff and attend assigned trainings and seminars for continuing education.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge in Loan Operations policies and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge in banking, regulations, and State/Federal Regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge in Laserpro and Fiserv System (core system).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or customer complaints.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, employees, regulators, or board members.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Bank personnel, departments, and customers.
  • Ability to interact effectively and efficiently with internal and external auditors.
  • Excellent analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to identify problems and develop solutions when needed.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to think critically.
  • Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, and e-mail.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Fully understand loan structure and process of loan documentation, closing, funding, and boarding.
