About The Position

The Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting key operational functions within the loan department, with a focus on documenting Stifel Pledged Asset (SPA) loans and assisting with SBA-related processes. This role also contributes to daily balancing, audit support, and special projects as needed.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Understand and comply with all regulations, including the Community Reinvestment Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of experience in loan operations, banking, or financial services.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
Familiarity with SPA or SBA loan processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare and document SPA loan packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
Assist with daily morning balancing procedures to maintain accurate loan system records.
Support the payoff of SBA Pools, particularly during the last two weeks of each month.
Collect and compile data in response to internal and external audit requests.
Provide operational support for special projects and departmental initiatives.
