Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the loan operations department.
  • Provide quality service to customers while servicing mortgage, consumer and commercial loans.
  • Has oversight over insurance tracking, processing charge-offs & recoveries, new and renewed loan file reviews, file scanning, responses to loan inquiries.
  • Responsible for supervising, coaching and providing guidance and training to department members.
  • Manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including: hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules.
  • Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate.
  • Train staff for system enhancements and procedure changes.
  • Review loan files to ensure complete documentation according to company and regulatory standards.
  • Follows up on exceptions to complete file.
  • Audit set up of loans on the loan operations system.
  • Research, resolve and respond to customer disputes.
  • Write correspondence to loan clients as needed.
  • Responsible for complex loan structures such as participation, bought and sold loans, master lines, forbearances and escrow analysis.
  • Manages the monthly MILAR and SBA 1502 reporting for loans with PMI or an SBA guarantee.
  • Assists in creation, implementation and regular review of all departmental procedures.
  • Process full and partial charge-off transactions to commercial, residential and consumer loans.
  • Assists in preparing for all internal and external audits.
