This role is structured for interns who can support onsite at our HQ in Wilmington, NC during the school year and continue through the summer. How This Role Impacts Live Oak Interns joining the Loan Operations team will gain hands-on experience that supports the accuracy and integrity of new loan onboarding across the bank. This team plays a critical role in ensuring loan data is entered, validated, and maintained correctly within our core system—supporting both operational efficiency and a high quality customer experience. Interns will learn how loan documentation translates into system setup, contribute to key operational workflows, and support bankwide efforts to modernize and streamline systems. What You’ll Do at Live Oak Review executed loan documents to extract key data fields needed for loan setup. Perform a preliminary consistency review and escalate any discrepancies to the Loan Operations team. Enter loan data into the core system accurately while following established procedures. Validate data accuracy by comparing system entries with source documents and notifying a team member if anything appears inconsistent. Assist with quality assurance checks using predefined tools and checklists to verify that system generated payment schedules, rates, and loan terms match documented information. Support bankwide modernization initiatives by participating in guided workflow testing and providing user experience feedback on new or enhanced processes. Participate in training sessions to learn systems, workflows, and standards required for successful loan onboarding. Attend department meetings and engage with cross functional teams to understand how Loan Operations supports the broader lending lifecycle. EEO is the Law The base pay range for this position is $19.77 - $32.12 per hour. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
