About The Position
Join Univest’s Loan Operations team as a Mortgage Servicing Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting the day-to-day work that keeps our servicing operations moving. This fully in-person internship offers real exposure to mortgage file documentation, scanning and indexing in Synergy, and other operational processes, along with the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in a collaborative office environment.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (freshmen, sophomores, or juniors preferred)
- Banking general knowledge
- Microsoft Office familiarity, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word
Responsibilities
- Retrieving legal descriptions from loan files and sending them to our tax service
- Monitoring & Responding to tax bills received by email
- Updating tax and insurance amounts in loan escrow records
- Indexing image files for boarded loans
- Updating user guides in Word
- Scanning documents into emails
- Filing & sending recast documents to Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac
- Labeling & sorting loan files
- Creating & sending Federal Express shipments
- Verifying borrowers addresses and contact information
- Processing incoming mail
- Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including Univest Code of Conduct
- Perform other duties as assigned
