About The Position

Journey Bank, a strong, independent community bank with over $1.5 Billion in assets and 290 employees headquartered in Bloomsburg PA, seeks full-time Senior Vice President, Loan Operations Director in our Lightstreet, Bloomsburg Office. As part of the Bank's Senior Management Team, this position reports to the EVP, Chief Banking Officer. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of B.S. or B.A. degree in Business or a related field of study. Advanced degree or banking certification(s) preferred. Specialized bank lending and loan operations education and training along with a minimum of ten (10) years' experience in related positions is also preferred. The Loan Operations Director is responsible for managing of the Loan Operations Department in order to ensure the efficient and accurate documentation, processing, booking, and servicing of the Bank's commercial, consumer, and residential mortgage loan accounts; implementing strategies to achieve goals developed for the department as part of the division's annual operating plan; ensuring the department's compliance with operating policies and procedures and outside regulatory requirements; directly supervising assigned personnel; communicating and interfacing with other divisions/departments and management personnel; providing periodic management reports.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the efficiency and accuracy of all servicing and processing tasks.
  • Evaluate and implement technology to maximize efficient and timely processing of all loans, allowing for a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with department and division management, along with customer service personnel, to integrate activities, provide quality customer service, and enhance internal operations.
  • Assists with regulatory compliance efforts; monitors department adherence to regulation; maintains a satisfactory rating for compliance and other audits, as well as overall quality control.
  • May meet with internal Bank personnel and customers to resolve problems, provide information, etc.
  • Oversee the packaging, negotiation, and sale of loans to the secondary market, including the management of the pipeline to see that loans are delivered to fill secondary market sales.
  • Train and develop assigned personnel, efficient allocation of resources, direct day-to-day activities in support of divisional objectives, and budget preparation.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements; ensures that the department and all personnel adhere to the same.
