About The Position

This position is responsible for soliciting, negotiating, and coordinating the closing of loans in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies, procedures, and related laws and regulations; engages in business development opportunities; develops good customer relationships; and markets and cross sells other banking products. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Prior lending experience is required.

Responsibilities

Interview applicants and determine their needs and the best loan product and structure.
Gather pertinent information for loan application.
Analyze applicants financial status, credit, and asset evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan or submits application to credit analyst for verification and recommendation.
Resolve uncertainties relating to customer application information through inquiries with applicant or creditors.
Communicate loan status regularly with customers and respond promptly to their inquiries.
Approve loans within specified limits or refer loans to loan committee for approval.
Compile loan package and facilitate negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms.
Ensure loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy.
Conduct loan closings. Assuring timeliness of closing and funding activities.
Review, track, and request current financials from commercial loan customers.
Monitor performance of loans. Notify or locate customers with delinquent accounts and attempt to secure payment. Initiate foreclosure or repossession actions when necessary.
Identify and analyze potential loan markets to develop prospects for loans.
Promote and cross-sell other establishment products and services such as internet banking, cashier’s checks, and trust and investment services.
Participate in community affairs to increase the Bank’s visibility and continually identify, develop, and maintain a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new lending opportunities.
