Climb Fund is seeking a Loan Officer in the Spartanburg Rock Hill area. This role is for individuals who love meeting people, building relationships, and helping small businesses grow by providing them with the capital they need. The ideal candidate is comfortable with both spreadsheets and community events.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships with community leaders and referral partners
• Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and networking opportunities
• Meet with prospective borrowers to understand their goals and funding needs
• Collect and review financial documents to support sound lending decisions
• Analyze creditworthiness and evaluate collateral
• Structure loan terms and negotiate agreements that work for everyone
• Prepare and present loan proposals for management approval
• Deliver timely application review and excellent communication
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to applicants and small business owners
• Connect with and occasionally present to the Board
• Volunteer and stay visible in the community we serve
