About The Position

Climb Fund is seeking a Loan Officer who loves meeting people, building relationships, and helping small businesses get the capital they need to grow. This role requires a blend of interpersonal skills, community engagement, and financial acumen. If you are comfortable with spreadsheets and community events, and believe in the power of access to capital, this role might be for you.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships with community leaders and referral partners
• Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and networking opportunities
• Meet with prospective borrowers to understand their goals and funding needs
• Collect and review financial documents to support sound lending decisions
• Analyze creditworthiness and evaluate collateral
• Structure loan terms and negotiate agreements
• Prepare and present loan proposals for management approval
• Deliver timely application review and excellent communication
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to applicants and small business owners
• Connect with and occasionally present to the Board
• Volunteer and stay visible in the community
