About The Position

The Loan Officer, Specialty Products is responsible for selling Non-QM and other mortgages, adhering to company guidelines, and advising customers on mortgage options. This role requires performing all duties in accordance with company policies, US state and federal laws, and regulations. The target pay range for this position is $125,000 - $300,000+ annually.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience required
• Two (2) or more years’ experience in mortgage lending preferred with some experience specifically in the Non-QM products
• Must have a current Mortgage Loan Originator License through NMLS
• Safe Act/MLO certification required

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new business by making outbound calls to company-sourced leads, taking inbound calls from mail solicitation campaigns, call transfers from Customer Service Representative agents, and inbound inquiry customer calls.
• Identify self-sourced customers from a network of realtors and other professionals.
• Adhere to all phone disclosure requirements when speaking to customers.
• Manage the loan process according to current legal and company guidelines and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Follow up with prospects regarding submitted documents for review, analyze credit reports, income documents, and conduct further research as required.
• Explain various loan products to customers.
• Provide a high level of customer service to every customer during the loan process.
• Ensure loans are in compliance with Carrington guidelines, applicable state and federal regulations, and investor requirements.
• Partner with operations staff to ensure expedient process of file flow.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
