About The Position

The Loan Officer Associate assists a designated Loan Officer(s) in originating and processing loans. Duties include reviewing the initial loan application, requesting and following up on required documents, calculating income to validate data, running AUS and reviewing findings, preparing and sending prequalification letters, preparing the initial disclosure package, and reviewing and preparing loan documents for submission to Processing. The role also involves managing the Loan Officer(s) calendar, acting as the primary point of contact for phone calls, managing the CRM including follow-ups with leads and closed loans, and pipeline management. This includes scheduled pipeline reviews, daily tracking, and weekly status calls to customers, as well as utilization of designated Sales tools and reporting methods.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of mortgage experience, including all areas of the loan process.
  • Thorough knowledge of FHA, Conventional, VA and USDA product financing.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • NMLS License required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diversity of audiences.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must have attention to detail and customer service focus.
  • Ability to adhere to established processes and checklists.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fluid and rapidly changing environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strict time requirements.
  • Proficient with MS Office, with a knowledge of industry automation and software.
  • High level of integrity, ethics, discretion and professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information.

  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • Sales aptitude is a plus
