About The Position

This position is for a Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant with a Fortune 100 Financial Institution in San Diego. The role involves assisting Loan Officers in completing mortgage loan applications by collecting, analyzing, and reviewing supporting loan documentation in accordance with loan guidelines. The assistant will also serve as a point of contact for members, responding to inquiries and helping them gather required information and complete necessary documentation. The ultimate goal of this position is to transition into a Mortgage Loan Officer role.

Requirements

  • Real Estate Lending/Financial services experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3+ years of experience in a professional office administrative OR financial call center.
  • Multi-tasking ability.
  • Professionalism.
  • Strong customer service skills (50% of the daily job is on the phone).
  • Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Support and communicate with Loan Officers and Members.
  • Obtain minimum required documents from Members to assist in loan approvability.
  • Manage the loan process from pre-application to post-application.
  • Calculate income and analyze asset statements.
  • Update loan operating systems.
  • Manage caseload via Jetpack, averaging 45-60 applications per person, with potential for increase during peak seasons.
  • Respond to assignment notifications in the 'Personal queue' which guides the MLO on application completion.
  • Engage in daily phone contact with members for specific tasks (50% of the job).
