About The Position

The purpose of the Loan Officer Assistant is to provide essential support to a Mortgage Loan Officer throughout the loan application process, ensuring efficiency and excellent client service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED certificate required.
Strong customer service and administrative skills.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of experience in mortgage lending preferred.
Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

Handle inbound and outbound client communication via phone and email, scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence and presentations, maintaining databases, and managing general office tasks like filing, photocopying, and scanning documents
Providing support in the intake and evaluation of loan applications, which includes collection, verification, and preparation of client documentation within established deadlines.
Ensuring loan paperwork is complete and accurate, maintaining loan files, and coordinating with underwriters, appraisers, real estate agents, and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth processing.
Serving as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on loan status, answering questions regarding policies and procedures, and offering support throughout the loan lifecycle.
Ensuring loan documentation complies with federal and state regulations and company guidelines.
Supporting Loan Officer with marketing activities, potentially including calling potential applicants, and following up with existing clients for future loan opportunities.
Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients to explain loan process, gather required documentation, and provide updates throughout the loan lifecycle.
