Overview The Loan Officer Assistant position is responsible for completing initial loan applications, gathering client documentation, preparing and delivering initial loan disclosures in compliance with regulatory requirements, and assigning files to processing. This role requires a bilingual candidate who can speak, read, write, and effectively communicate verbally in Spanish. What You’ll Be Doing Loan Application Management Application Review and Completion: Identify and fill in gaps in loan applications, ensuring all required fields are completed accurately. Client Document Requests: Request additional documents from clients to ensure the pre-approval file is comprehensive, covering credit, assets, and income documentation. File Preparation and Processing File Preparation: Prepare loan files upon receiving a purchase contract or locking a refinance loan. Document Management : Request and follow up on initial credit and income documents, updating as necessary. Loan Applications: Complete and review loan applications to ensure accuracy and completeness. File Opening Tasks : Initiate necessary tasks such as ordering appraisals and title work. Compliance and Disclosure Compliance: Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with RESPA and other regulatory requirements. Initial Disclosures: Prepare and send initial disclosures electronically to clients. Client Communication: Call clients to inform them that initial disclosures have been sent and address any questions they may have. Client care and Communication Client Support : Provide ongoing written and verbal communication with clients throughout the loan process to ensure their needs are met and questions are answered promptly.
