Requirements

  • Knowledge of personal and commercial loan documentation usually acquired through previous experience in loan documentation is required to review loan documentation.
  • Knowledge of commercial banking systems usually acquired through experience is required to extract information from various systems for analysis.
  • Analytical and computer skills are required to analyze documentation, identify deficiencies, prepare reports, and work with system databases.
  • 2 years loan documentation or related experience.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Responsibilities

  • Reviews legal and administrative documentsof all new, renewed, and increased loans to ensurethat they support the approved loan structure.
  • Before loan funding is allowed, determines the level of waiver action required when documentation deficiencies are discovered.
  • Using a computer system, monitors all existing documentation deficiencies and the receipt of time-sensitive documentation during the term of all loans.
  • Reviews all trailing documentation to ensure it is properly executed and recorded, if appropriate.
  • Reports the status of documentation deficiencies to account officers and management using the loan documentation unit's computer system's report capabilities.
  • Interacts with legal and account officers to clarify unfamiliar or questionable loan documentation.
  • Reviews appropriate documentation files and records for selected existing loans to determine compliance with established bank and legal guidelines.
  • Prepares summary reports of each existing loan audited for review by division and appropriate senior management.
  • Develops and recommends new procedures and operational controls to protect loan documentation and customer information.
