About The Position

The Loan Administrator will report to the Assistant Operations Manager, working within the Direct Lending Loan Operations team. This position is responsible for supporting loan closings, preparing fundings, portfolio maintenance, cash activity, reconciliations, detailed reporting and overall servicing for Manulife | Comvest Credit Partners. The Loan Administrator coordinates with investment professionals, external agents, borrowers, legal counsel, third-party administrators, internal treasury team, finance department, and compliance to ensure accurate documentation, timely execution and complete operational records. This role provides the opportunity to be involved with a growing business, help inspire change, and assist in implementing innovative process solutions to further support growth and mitigate risk. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, communication skills, Excel proficiency and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive workstreams in a direct lending environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in direct lending, banking, alternative asset management, fund administration, loan operations or financial operations, preferably within credit.
  • Working knowledge of leveraged loans, private credit or loan administration processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external service providers.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, judgment and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to quickly learn systems, processes and transaction workflows.
  • Bachelor's degree required; concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate closing logistics, required documentation, KYC information, wire instructions and internal approvals.
  • Prepare and/or review cash transfers, funding wires and investment allocations across client accounts.
  • Maintain organized closing files and complete post-closing follow-up with deal teams, counsel, agents and administrators.
  • Monitor agent notices and support booking of interest, principal, fees, amendments, assignments and related loan activity.
  • Work with third-party loan and fund administrators to resolve booking, data or cash exceptions.
  • Follow established policies, deadlines and controls, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability and operational risk management.
  • Assist with bank-to-book reports, funded/unfunded commitments and portfolio data reconciliations.
  • Prepare recurring operational reports and communicate portfolio updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Track required borrower and portfolio company reporting deliverables based on credit agreement requirements.
  • Maintain accurate portfolio databases, status trackers and supporting documentation.
