About The Position

The Loads & Dynamics Engineer III role focuses on conducting comprehensive vehicle-level analysis to support the design and optimization of aerospace systems. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing expertise in dynamics and vibration, and applying aerospace principles, standards, and theories effectively. The role requires a deep understanding of vehicle-level analysis and system design, as well as the ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the success of engineering projects. This role is critical in advancing engineering projects, ensuring the success of aerospace systems, and driving innovation within the team. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive vehicle-level analysis to support the design and optimization of aerospace systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will develop and refine system designs, ensuring they meet performance and safety requirements. You will provide demonstrated expertise in dynamics and vibration, applying aerospace principles, standards, theories, first-order analysis, and concepts to engineering projects. Analyzing and interpreting data from tests and simulations, you will inform design decisions and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, you will prepare detailed technical documentation and reports to effectively communicate findings and support project objectives. As a mentor, you will guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and supporting their professional development to enhance their contributions to projects and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +3 yrs experience).
  • Typically 5+ years of related experience.
  • Expertise in Dynamics and Vibration.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle-level analysis and system design.
  • Demonstrated use and application of Aerospace principles, standards, theories, first-order analysis, and concepts.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with engineering software tools such as MATLAB, NASTRAN, ANSYS, or similar.
  • Experience with vehicle-level testing and validation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) for structural dynamics.
  • Experience with vibration and shock testing and analysis.
  • Proficiency in using simulation tools for dynamic analysis.
