About The Position

This position is in Cargill's Ag & Trading enterprise, where they connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. They also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions. The Loadout Operator is responsible for operating equipment associated with the loadout and unloading process for bulk materials, creating scale tickets, collecting product samples, supervising tank inventory, and performing light maintenance and repair work. The role requires problem-solving skills, interaction with peers, management, merchants, and customers, and a focus on continuous improvement and customer service.

Requirements

Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to independently problem solve and resolve issues within the scope of the role
Ability to to learn computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and SAP
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to work in elevated areas (140 feet and above), via ladders and/or stairs
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Must have very good time management skills
Ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and follow-up skills
Must have high attention to detail
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice

Nice To Haves

Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
Experience working in a production related work

Responsibilities

Operating equipment associated with the loadout and unloading process for bulk materials including trucks and/or rail cars, utilizing scales, pumps, conveyors, and mobile equipment
Creating scale tickets, collecting product samples, and supervising tank inventory, utilizing computer systems to input and record data as necessary
Inspecting buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by the facility to perform light maintenance and repair work; determine immediate and long range needs for maintenance and repair work
Solve issues independently with minimal guidance
Interacting regularly with peers, management, merchants, and customers to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment
Taking initiative in making decisions within your scope and escalating other issues to your supervisor or manager
Providing a high level of customer service
Understanding and adhering to all policies and procedures
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned
