About The Position

The Loading, Shipping and Receiving Associate position is an entry-level role that is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments. Loaders play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of shipping operations and ensuring that products are delivered and received in good condition. Understands and follows safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment. Employs a range of crating and packaging resources, including metal bands and protective coverings, to ensure parts are securely fastened and safeguarded during transport. Proficient in operating forklifts and other lifting equipment. Responsible for each lift, deciding when to check actual vs maximum allowable trailer load. Assists with inventory counts as required. Maintains practices for continuous improvement within the work area. May be assigned other projects or tasks by the team leader.

Requirements

Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment
Ability to safely operate a forklift
Basic math skills, including ability to read a tape measure
Ability to work independently and with others
High school diploma or GED
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment
Some knowledge of a manufacturing environment.
