Loading Dock Mechanic
About The Position
Cisco Inc. is looking for Loading Dock Technicians to service our growing list of Customers in the Metro-Detroit area. This position would be dispatched from our Dock & Warehouse division located in Grand Rapids. The ideal candidate would be comfortable operating semi-independently. Any door experience would be helpful but not required. This is a Full Time, 1st-Shift position, Monday – Friday, with Overtime and Weekends Availability Required. Compensation is based on experience and professionalism, with a starting wage of $28 - $32/hour. Cisco Inc. has a strict drug-free policy and any position with the company would require a pre-employment drug screen, including marijuana, as well as a physical exam and a background check.
Requirements
- Have a Valid Driver’s License in Good Standing
- Have a Strong Mechanical Aptitude and Abilities
- Proficient with Hand and Power Tools
- Welding Experience
- Have Good Customer Relations Skills with Clear and Concise Language Skills
- Enjoy being part of a Team, but can Work Independently
- Utilize Technology such as a Laptop or Tablet
- Ability to lift 50 pounds due to Lift and Move Functions
Nice To Haves
- experience with electrical and/or hydraulics are a benefit
- Any door experience would be helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and Repair Industrial Equipment Breakdowns
- Communicating Effectively any Needed Repairs with Customers
- Complete Work Orders in a Timely Manner
- Coordinate with Parts and Service Department Daily
- Keep Work Van Clean and Stocked with Necessary Supplies
- Comply with all Safety Procedures within Morrison’s Guidelines
- Consistently and Reliably attend Shift Ready to Work when Scheduled
- Perform any Other Duties as Assigned
