About The Position

Supports the packaging and shipping process by inspecting, labeling, and preparing finished products for delivery. This role is responsible for creating a collaborative, safe and hazard free environment that is driven by employee involvement. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to leading departmental continuous improvement projects, supporting and executing all safety and health policies and programs, employee training and incident investigations.

Requirements

Ability to use nail guns, crowbars, and hammers.
Demonstrates strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in interpreting fabrication drawings to calculate weights and determine appropriate lifting methods.
Possesses solid math skills, including working with decimals and fractions.
Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to safely and efficiently transport materials as required.
Capable of working independently or as a team with minimum supervision.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Adheres to training guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards.
Assists in loading and/or working from trailers at heights up to 14 feet with fall protection.
Responsible for safely pulling and backing trailers into bays using a shag truck; training provided.
Uses a digital camera to obtain photos of each completed load to be uploaded into customers’ files.
