About The Position
US FOODS® is seeking Loaders to join their team. This role is responsible for loading products onto designated trailers and ensuring products are properly secured. The position requires strength, endurance, and the ability to meet weekly productivity and accuracy standards while maintaining a safe work environment. Loaders are crucial to the success of US FOODS®, ensuring exact and damage-free orders are delivered.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/ required
- Strength, endurance, and the ability to work in extreme temperature conditions.
- Ability to work in normal warehouse environments as well as cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.
- Must be pallet jack certified.
- Must be able to read alpha and numeric codes from load sheets.
- One-year recent experience in highly physical, labor-intensive occupation preferred.
Responsibilities
- Loading products on designated trailers.
- Sourcing and properly securing products in trailers.
- Performing all pre-shift duties including safety checks of all equipment.
- Working in multi-temperature areas as assigned.
- Ensuring trailer cleanliness before loading.
- Verifying trailer temperature is ready for loading.
- Building pallets according to stops and securely wrapping them to avoid damage during transport.
- Verifying header labels on all pallets.
- Checking for damaged or outdated products before loading.
- Confirming load diagrams are completed and submitted.
- Satisfactorily completing all company-mandated training and assessments.
