About The Position

Conducts day-to-day activities pertaining to burning (shrink-wrap), loading product for the shipping department, burning loading material correctly and in an efficient manner. Effectively delegates workload to department personnel, all while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

Speak and read English.
1+ years PVF industry experience.
Ability to read and understand industry specifications, charts, and tables.
High school diploma or GED.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to drive forklift and secure certification.
Must have average reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
Capable of lifting 50 lbs. with back support.
Able to stand and operate a variety of equipment as assigned.
Takes initiative and can work independently.
Requires a high level of attention to detail.
Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.

Responsibilities

Visually inspects all material to identify any non-conformances.
Ensures designated equipment is in proper working condition (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.).
Effectively communicates with department supervisors.
Ensures all material is protected from potential damage that could occur during transit.
Packages material securely.
Utilizes Pick Ticket information to accurately verify and record information on shrink-wrapped pallets.
Properly matches shipments to the loading forms ensuring vehicles are loaded with the correct material.
Photographs loaded product (photo verification).
Properly fills out information required on pick ticket and accompanying forms.
Attends safety meetings to identify departmental issues and discuss ways to correct them.
Identifies areas of improvement while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
