About The Position

The Loader safely operates material handling equipment and moves and stages materials for loading according to shipment schedules. The role operates machine and hand packaging tools, uses RF devices to track materials accurately, and follows verbal and written instructions related to loading, safety, and process compliance. The Loader also assists with general warehouse duties as assigned.

This position works in an industrial environment that may include noise, dust, and varying temperatures. The work can be fast-paced and deadline-driven, and requires adherence to strict safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Previous warehouse and forklift/side loader experience.
• Good mathematical competencies.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to read a tape measure to the sixteenth.
• Experience with micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and health and safety.
• Experience using computers.
• Previous experience operating material handling equipment, including crane and forklift; must pass an evaluation before working independently.
• Ability to spend 80% of the day standing.
• Ability to bend, stoop, push, and pull.
• Ability to climb into and out of a forklift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg) occasionally, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs (11.3 kg).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cutting and banding equipment.
• High school education or GED desired.
