About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting the electroplating autoline by receiving, verifying, and inspecting materials from the warehouse. The position requires ensuring materials conform to specifications for plating processes, determining material characteristics like size, composition, plating process, and thickness based on customer orders. The job also involves maintaining production and quality standards, adhering to safety rules, and completing required documentation. Additional duties include assisting customer service, determining plating parameters, verifying and sending racks, visually inspecting parts, performing thickness and adhesion tests, documenting results, issuing "HOLD" tickets for non-conforming materials, completing various check sheets and request forms, and making adjustments to tank temperatures. The role demands standing, stooping, and bending 100% of the time and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, verifies, and inspects materials from the warehouse for plating processes.
  • Verifies size and count of materials to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Determines material size, composition, plating process, and thickness based on customer order forms.
  • Maintains production and quality standards.
  • Conforms to all safety rules.
  • Maintains required documentation.
  • Follows customer service schedule and assists customer service when requested.
  • Determines time and electrical current for parts during plating.
  • Verifies and sends racks according to shop order work instructions.
  • Visually inspects parts during cleaning and post-plate rinsing.
  • Performs thickness and adhesion tests and documents results.
  • Fills out "HOLD" tickets for non-conforming materials.
  • Fills out maintenance check sheets, daily check sheets, and maintenance request forms.
  • Makes adjustments to tank temperatures to maintain operating ranges.
