About The Position

Copart, Inc. is a global leader in online vehicle auctions, seeking a Loader Operator to move and load vehicles using company-provided equipment. This role involves maintaining documentation of vehicle movement, performing daily equipment inspections, and ensuring a safe work environment. The Loader Operator will uphold company guidelines for safe operation, facilitate the Copart experience by meeting customer needs, and ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards. Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, assisting with maintenance, accurately recording vehicle information, using documentation devices, setting up yards for auctions, providing customer service, and maintaining a professional demeanor. Adherence to yard guidelines for safety, such as speed limits, is crucial. The role requires the ability to load and unload vehicles and pass training and safety requirements. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
One year of loader or forklift experience.
Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Positive attitude/High Integrity.
Ability to operate heavy equipment.
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be able to pass training and safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

HS diploma or GED preferred.
Certification in loader or forklift operation preferred.
Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

Moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift.
Maintaining documentation of vehicle movement around the facility.
Performing daily pre and post-trip inspections and associated documentation of assigned machine.
Maintaining a safe work environment and following company guidelines for safe loader operation.
Facilitating the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs.
Ensuring equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
Operating company equipment safely.
Assisting with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
Recording vehicle information accurately and legibly.
Operating digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
Setting up yard for auctions within company timelines.
Providing service to customers as needed.
Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Following yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (i.e. speed limits, etc.).
Loading and unloading vehicles as required.
Passing training and safety requirements.
Performing other duties as assigned.
