Loader Operator
About The Position
Copart, Inc. is a global technology leader and the premier online vehicle auction platform, with over 200 facilities worldwide. Copart connects vehicle sellers with more than 750,000 buyers in over 190 countries. The Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. This role also involves maintaining documentation of vehicle movement, performing daily pre and post-trip inspections of assigned machinery, and ensuring equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts. The operator must maintain a safe work environment, adhere to company guidelines for safe loader operation, and facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer needs. Additionally, the operator will assist with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles, operate digital cameras or other documentation devices, set up yards for auctions within company timelines, and provide customer service as needed. A positive and professional demeanor is expected, along with adherence to yard guidelines for safety.
Requirements
- At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
- One year of loader or forklift experience.
- Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Positive attitude/High Integrity.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass training and safety requirements.
Nice To Haves
- HS diploma or GED preferred.
- Certification preferred for loader or forklift experience.
- Bilingual skills a plus.
Responsibilities
- Moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift.

- Recording vehicle information accurately and legibly.
- Operating digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
- Setting up yard for auctions within company timelines.
- Providing service to customers as needed.
- Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Following yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (i.e. speed limits, etc.).
- Loading and unloading vehicles as required.
- Passing training and safety requirements.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
