About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating and meeting customer needs in 13 states with over 3,500 employees. Rogers Group is currently seeking a LOADER OPERATOR at our Quarry located in Springdale, Arkansas. The successful candidate will be motivated and have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Requirements

  • Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
  • Have at least one year experience operating a large-size wheel loader – similar to a CAT 988, CAT 992, Komatsu WA500-8, or Komatsu WA600-8.
  • General mechanical knowledge.
  • Self-starter/ ability to work without close supervision.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift/move up to 50 lbs. as needed along with exposure to dust.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime, weekends, or different shifts as production requires.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen at any time.
  • Must be able to provide documentation to prove identity and eligibility for authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating a variety of heavy equipment – dozer, track hoe, skid steer – preferred.
  • Previous experience working in mining environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate front-end loader to move and load shot rock, crushed stone, or overburden safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain consistent feed to the plant/crusher while minimizing downtime and spillage.
  • Plant maintenance and clean up when needed.
  • Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues or needed repairs.
  • Assist with maintaining haul roads, loading areas, and stockpiles to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
  • Communicate effectively with the plant operator, haul truck drivers, and other pit personnel using radios and hand signals.
  • Properly follow all company policies OSHA/ MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
  • May be called upon at the discretion of the supervisor in charge to perform any other duties assigned and/or to assist with other areas as necessary.
  • Willingness to cross-train and assist in other areas of the operation as needed.
