About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. Princeton Quarry is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking a Loader Operator to load out rail cars for our operation located in Princeton, KY. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety with the ability to recognize and eliminate hazardous conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment in confined work areas while maintaining awareness of surrounding personnel and equipment.
  • Self-starter/ ability to work without close supervision
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, and stand or walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to frequently climb ladders, stairs and access elevated work platforms.
  • Ability to safely enter and exit heavy equipment multiple times throughout the day.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment (front-end loader, articulated haul truck, dozer, excavator, or similar) preferred.
  • Previous experience in mining, quarry, aggregate, construction, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial environments preferred.
  • Basic welding skills preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Load rail cars accurately according to customer specifications and weight requirements.
  • Monitor rail car placement and coordinate with crews and supervisors during loading operations.
  • Perform daily pre-operational inspections of mobile equipment and promptly report mechanical deficiencies.
  • Monitor material quality and communicate any concerns to supervisors.
  • Perform routine housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe plant environment.
  • Assist maintenance personnel during scheduled plant outages and repairs.
  • Follow all MSHA, company safety, environmental, and operating procedures.
  • Lockout/Tagout equipment when performing maintenance or cleaning activities.
  • Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
